1. Strolling into downtown
| Take the T (or drive in and search for parking) to Back Bay. Walk down Commonwealth Ave. to the Public Garden - check out the flowers, birds, swan boats, etc. Walk through the Common (check out any performers on the way) to Tremont St. |
2. Checking out Faneuil Hall
| Make your way to Faneuil Hall. Pick up some lunch inside and bring it out so you can people-watch while you eat. Mill around and watch some of the performers. Don't get any dessert! |

3. The North End for pastries
| Mike's Pastry is an absolute institution, and by the time you work your way to it from Faneuil Hall you'll be justified in getting anything you desire. Get it boxed and then pop into one of the many courtyards around the North End to eat. |

4. Pick up some produce at the Haymarket
| This weekend event is worth checking out, especially if you're a big fan of fresh produce! Even after-hours, it's interesting to walk back through this area and see all of the bronzed fruits and vegetables on the ground…. |
