Things to do for fun in Vegas for free or cheap. Not necessarily because you can't afford it, but because you don't have to always spend over a hundred dollars per person for a great Vegas experience.

1. Take the Monorail to MGM Grand
We're going to start our adventure at the far South Strip, and the Monorail can be the best way to get there from center and north Strip areas. Make sure you've got your cameras, because today is filled with photo ops.

Go look at the lions. It's free. They'll probably be sleeping, but it's kind of fun to stand right under a sleeping lion. The plexiglass enclosure gives you a close-up look.
3. New York - New York Hotel and Casino

Wander around the scaled down version of New York. Look at the meat locker outside Gallagher's, and go in for a meal if you love steaks. Otherwise, try a deli, or a slice, or a dog.

If you're into finding out what an Egyptian tomb (doesn't really) look like, go to Luxor. There's a free tram from Excalibur, across the street from New York-New York.
Cross back over to the MGM and take the monorail to Paris. Stroll the cobblestone streets, stop at quaint litlle shops, or check out the performers randomly entertaining the gamblers with dance routines to 80's tunes in what appears to be fetish wear interpretations of maids and cancan dancers outfits. Tres... something. Be sure to check out the fountain outside, a reproduction of a famous Paris fountain where people squeeze fish. Take the obligatory photo of the Eiffel Tower from a perspective that makes it look real.
Cross the street to see the Bellagio Fountains. Take pictures. If you like shopping, here's where you start the OhMyGod shopping tour, starting in Bellagio, go up to Caesar's Forum, then across and north to the Ventian and the Wynn. Skip the Fashion Show Mall and Desert Passage, you've got most of that in your home malls.
7. Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino

Cross back over, and travel north to the Venetian by foot, Duece, or cab, which ever suits your style and budget. The Venetian, our next stop, has canals, living statues, and ...
...the wax museum. Not free, but worth it's weight in photo ops. See JLo blush when you put your hand on her famous butt! Hear Hugh Hefner tell you "you can be a centerfold" when you join him on a big round bed! Wear a bridal veil standing next to George Cloony! Golf with Tiger Woods! and much more!

Walk into the hotel and marvel at the scenery. Shop for a Ferrari. Then get ready for a trip...
...downtown! Eat deep fried Twinkies or Oreos at the Mermaid, play slots with real coins, and of course take in the ViVa Vision, broadcasting video light shows on the canopy overhead every hour every night!
