It is a nice drive from San Jose with several attraction in the area and several very good restaurants. Don't miss The Dreamer's House.

Went with a small group, picked up at the hotel. Sites included historic, the large volcano and crater were impressive, and the stop at a restaurant near the Orosi valley was restful and delicious.

Spectacular scenery, very natural. The river is clean, rises in the mountains. Nearby we visited the Tapanti Naqtional Park.

Its really pretty, few cars and even fewer tourists. A naturally beautiful part of the country with a historic church (the oldest still in use in CR).
