This hotel may have looked and smelt acceptable in 1970 when it was last decorated (and cleaned) but it certainly does not now. It looks nothing like the brochure or the website and my tiny 'room'...

Hotel staff are very the friendly. The atomosphere is relaxed and the rooms are spacious. Old-fashioned but a good choice of place to stay in Melrose as it is not as expensive as most of the hotels...
