This hotel is undergoing a refurbishment and though it is not yet finished, they can still provide a very comfortable and relaxing stay with wonderful views. Recommend it for anyone enroute to Orkney...

The Melvich Hotel is in a lovely setting with great views over the bay. It is clean but the decor is a little tired in places and there has obviously been some sort of water penetration problem...

We spent 14 days in scotland and the melvich hotel was the worst hotel where we've stayed. We paid far too much for such hotel, the rooms were little, dirt on the ceiling, noises from the neighbours....
