We were traveling as a family of 4 so we used UberX. If we had paid for a shuttle service it would have been more than door-to-door with Uber. Once we were at the resort, we used the free shuttle to the Metro every day. Take the time to figure out the city bus (easy!) to the Metro an you are then free from the shuttle service schedule and the reality that the shuttle fills up to capacity on most runs.

I took SuperShuttle the cost was about $18 per person, they have a counter at the airport with an indoor waiting area and a covered outdoor waiting area . The shuttle of course made multiple stops BUT because I wasn't familiar with the transit system it was worth it for us just to sit back and enjoy the ride and scenery .

A taxi was $32, the airport shuttle is about $25, and of course the metro is the cheapest. However, taking the metro to the hotel requires some knowledge. You would take the yellow line to king street. Then you would pick up the hotel shuttle from that stop to go straight to the hotel. Your arrival time makes a difference. If you arrive between 7-9 am or 3-7 pm you pay a lot more because it's rush hour traffic and wAy more crowded! If you come after 7:30 pm, you'll probably miss the last shuttle to the hotel which stops at 8 pm. Also, you need to purchase a metro card at the station in the airport in order to ride on it.

The least expensive would be to take public transportation. There is a free shuttle from the Yellow Line Metro station at King Street (Old Town) Alexandria VA to the hotel. Check out the Metro website to get the proper route and cost from Dulles to King Street. You should also check the Wyndham National Harbor shuttle schedule .. I believe that it leaves King Street once every hour. Next time fly into Reagan Airport .. it's just 2 stops away on the yellow line to King Stree! Hope this info helps ... good luck.

I'm sorry but I do not know. We live only about 3 hours away so we drove. Once you are there you can take the Metro bus, which picks you up about a half block from the resort, to the Metro station. The Metro is the easiest way to get around DC. If you want to go to other places, like Mt. Vernon, you can drive or take a boat from National Harbor.

I'm not certain about the least expensive method. We rented a car because we flew into BWI. In addition, we required transportation for the things we wanted to do in the neighboring cities. We would have been very limited without a car.
