Ocean Reef Resort Questions & Answers

Raleigh, NC

Hi, can someone tell me about the parking lot. I believe travelers mention it was across the street from the hotel. Is the lot covered and is there a busy street to cross to get to the hotel and your car?

Yes, the parking lot is across the street from the hotel, and no - the street to cross to get to the hotel is not a busy street. Also, if the lot across the street is full, then there is a parking deck across the street from the hotel as well, which is for guests. - Plenty of parking - never a problem.

The parking lot accross the street is not covered but it is large. Enough space. The street is not busy so safe to cross.

We stayed there the last week in July. Like everyone said there is several places to park and one parking building. The people driving by are very courteous. We always parked in the garage and had no problem finding a spot.

We just returned from a week at Ocean Reef. There is some parking right outside. A large lot is across the street and if you need handicap parking, you can park any place there is a parking meter free at Myrtle Beach; or so we were told by hotel staff. The street had very little traffic and drivers were courteous to pedestrians. No problems with parking.

There were a few lots to choose from, including across the street. The lots weren't covered. The street was a bit busy, but people in their cars were courteous to let you cross the crosswalk...even with kids....even when it rained...overall, a good experience. No worries.

There is parking in the hotel front (limited to fewer spaces due to handicap and check-in) but there is a large area across the street, a parking deck next to that and many public spaces on each side of the hotel (no meters in the evening).

Just to clarify - Ocean Reef uses two blocks for parking across the street - the lot directly across from the building gets full early, the one next to it is larger AND also has a 2-story + roof parking garage.

There is 15min loading/unloading parking by the front door as well.
