Siena Hotel, Spa & Casino Questions & Answers

Westminster, Colorado

Restaurant? Is it any good, is it a full 3 meals a day menu? We will only be there for one night and most of the following day and we arrive late, we will need to eat a very late dinner and breakfast, if not here where should we eat? Is the night life good here, is it a casino only or live entertainment? Weekend get away, trying to make the most of the area.

Looks as though you received a lot of great input on your question. I hope you enjoyed your time in Reno.

I suggest you call ahead. We ate there pretty late and their casino is open 24 hours a day... The formal restaurant has some of the best food around in Reno... and it is prepared with both care and quality and an attention to detail (see my write-up on this establishment).

Its a small casino, which we really like as it is easy to get around. The nights we were there they had a nice singer, with a dance floor in the casino. Not sure if he will still be there. Looks like everyone else answered food questions. Down the main strip and you will find the bigger casinos. El Dorado, attached to the Silverton (I think its called) which is also attached to Circus Circus, and there is also Harrahs. You might check their sites as some have shows and bands. The next day, if you are interested in cars, there is a very nice auto museum just across the street. When you check into the hotel they usually have a local newspaper at the inside valet desk that gives local activities. If this is your first visit downtown you might be a little alarmed at what seems to be a lot of homeless people walking around. There use to be a lot of aggressive panhandling, but the Police must be cracking down because we haven't been bothered in the last few years. Still, I would stay on the main streets at night. For the next day there is a good mexican restaurant in walking distance, I think called Berthas.

If you cannot find any food places open at the Sienna, you are a short walk away from the CalNeva casino which has a 24 hr cafe and burger place. Both are good places.

I've only eaten breakfast there. It's a casino. I don't know anything about their entertainment or other restaurants.

From the Siena's website:

Whitewater is open daily for dinner, Sunday-Thursday 5-10pm and Friday + Saturday 5-11pm.

As far as I know, the closest 24-hour dining is at the Club Cal-Neva, 38 East 2nd Street. Walking north on Center Street, you'll cross the river, then 1st Street, and it's on the corner of Center and 2nd. It's a diner, so don't expect a superb meal.

Silver Peak Grill and Taproom is a little further away, but has better food. They serve food until 1 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and until midnight the rest of the week. They are at the corner of 1st and Sierra, two blocks west of Center St.

I don't know what kind of night life you are looking for. The Pioneer Underground does comedy shows. There's also the Bruka Theater.

Most of the bigger casinos have shows. The El Dorado always has something.

If the weather is nice, you can also rent an inner tube and raft down the river.

They have a sushi place that is open till 9. A higher end restaurant that is open till 10, 11 on weekends. Johnny Rockets is burgers and sandwiches and is open till 11 or 1 am on weekends. I think they had 24 hour room service too.
