There is no non smoking area, but unless I have a smoker right next to me, it hasn't been a problem. It has a very small casino, which we like not getting lost, but a walk down the street will get you to a few large casinos. Lot of locals hang out and my husband usually has a lot of luck here.

I wait until I check in for upgrades, but it seems the price varies each time. sometimes they say $50 for the next up, sometimes more. One time they offered us the huge penthouse for $150 more.....but we turned it down as it is a ridiculous size for the two of us. We are members of their club so we get mailers. I always try to get the river view, but if you get placed on the other side make sure it is a higher floor or your view will be a weird frosted glass. They allow dogs on one floor, so if you have allergies you might request to stay away from that floor.

There is a huge auto museum right across the street. There is an upscale italian restaurant in walking distance, but I can't remember the name. Also a mexican restaurant a couple blocks down. Do your research on-line before you get there as one of the few complaints I have is that the staff is not very knowledgeable about the area.

Parking is free, and right there so no huge parking structures to walk around in.

At night....stick to the main streets.
