I stayed down in the hotel part to be closer to the ocean. The villas are up on a hill. I do not think they all have ocean views. I'm pretty sure they do not.

The Westin's own ferry is still running while they are working on their dock. It is quite expensive at over $100 pp rt. It's less expensive and only mildly more inconvenient to take the taxi to the Red Hook ferry and use that to cross. There are always plenty of Taxis waiting to take you to the Westin. If you're thinking of a car rental it can be easier to rent on St Thomas and then drive to the car barge at Red Hook.

As others have stated no Island hopping, but it not so expensive to get a local fisherman with a boat to take island hopping. Myself I was on a friends boat.

Hope this helps,

Justin

Yes this is a timeshare. Not sure if they rent rooms out if you are not a member. Rooms are spacious with large kitchens that are fully stocked.. When we were there they were renovating rooms so they were not at full capacity. But you would have to call them to find out room rental situation.

I think they charge now $90 per person each way. Also the times are limited so you end up waiting at the Crown Bay Marina.

If your flight arrives before 12:15, cab it to the Charlette Ameila (less then 10 mins) ferry at 1pm direct to St John, 45min and $22 per person which brings you into Cruz Bay. Plenty of taxis there to take you to the Westin.

If you arrive after 1pm, then cab it to Red Hook (25 min). The ferry leaves every hour and costs $12. Van taxis are cheap in St Thomas.
