What travelers are saying
- sue hicksFort Worth, TX63 contributionsvery beautiful interior. one wing is extremely old and adobe structure. it has a statue made in spain in the 1400s brought to santa fe in 1625. yes there is a rose stain window and many others.Written December 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TravelingAnnKVentura, CA332 contributionsMiniature French Cathedral in Santa Fe. The story of how the steps were made is miraculous. It is a bit of an odd duck architecturally surrounded by adobe structures. Definitely worth seeing.Written March 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Patti SAustin, TX16 contributionsCanyon Road is walkable to many beautiful art galleries,a few shops and restaurants. Grab a yummy coffee at Cafe Canyon! - Asher SNew York City, NY52 contributionsThis was amazing. We spend 2 hours in the museum with our kids and every turn was a feast for the senses. I can't wait to go again. The gift shop was also a treat!Written February 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- kleicSan Antonio, TX1,024 contributionsEven though part of the museum was closed because of roof work, our visit here was a highlight of our trip to Santa Fe. I thought I knew about Georgia O'Keefe but this gem of a museum taught me so, so much that I didn't know! Everything is thoughtfully arranged, the curation and verbiage is terrific, and the gift shop is out of this world (the people working in there are pretty great too!). Reserve a spot on-line in advance as it often sells out.Written March 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kimberly KFort Worth, TX5 contributionsSanta Fe Plaza is mostly galleries and shopping, A LOT of shopping. Don't miss San Miguel, the oldest church in the US as well as the adjacent oldest house in the US, a short walk from the plaza. I enjoyed the Georgia O'Keefe Museum, but admission is steep at $22 (in my opinion). San Francisco Bar & Grill had delicious, reasonably priced food.Written March 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - pip11 contributionsWe went to the Opera (Tosca) while in Santa Fe New Mexico. Booked the dinner and show which was really easy. Food was good and Opera was Amazing. They have a screen that can only be seen by you to translate, which made it really fun.
Highly recommend if you are there in the limited session that you go.Written October 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Roger SchlegelTomahawk, WI2 contributionsTake a tour with a docent. They are knowledgeable and bring perspective to the exhibits. It was outstanding. One of the best things we did in the SantaFe area.Written February 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dambankerToronto, Canada1,232 contributionsThis capitol building has a different feel to it than most. Maybe its the round shape or the lack of a dome. It's fairly small and doesn't take long to walk around. Lots of artwork throughout. I particularly liked the colours used in the stained glass rotunda ceiling. Worth a visit for sure.Written November 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Robert JGoodyear, AZ23 contributionsThe museum is smaller in comparison to most but full of original Indian Art's. In addition the museum has numerous video stations that explain Indian culture and tradition.
The museum is designed to walk through easily and navigate the various exhibits. The museum is well maintained and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The museum also has a nice restaurant on site with garden style patio seatingWritten September 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. On our last day, we had some time to spare, so we walked over. It's actually just off Canyon Road. What a lovely experience. There are so many rooms, it's almost like visiting a museum. The workers were very welcoming. We weren't there to buy anything, but they were still helpful and kind. The highlight of the gallery was the beautiful sculpture garden in the back, with a large pond and ducks. It had just snowed and it was gorgeous.Written November 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
