What travelers are saying
- Susanbunny_8La Verne, CA540 contributionsThis is important history that needs to be shown. It's definitely a work in progress, as Tubman's actual house is closed (being renovated), and the only other historical building to tour (her Home for the Aged) takes about 5 minutes to walk through. The presentation at the Visitor Center is great - tour guide is HIGH ENERGY and very interesting! - but it's almost an hour and a little long for kids. I know the site is working in tandem with the NPS to improve the Tubman sites in Auburn. Yay! I look forward to coming back sometime down the road.Written November 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GregT895Vancouver, Canada83 contributionsWe stopped in here on our way through Auburn. They have a professionally guided tour which lasted about an hour and was excellent. In November, the house wasn't busy at all. Our guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended.Written November 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- scouternurseRochester, NY61 contributionsA hidden gem in the Finger Lakes....although it was officially closed in January, they opened for us after calling...a very knowledgeable woman toured us thru the chapel...really worth the small admission, knowing that it goes to the upkeeping of this wonderful facility....A totally Tiffany Studio designed chapel; so calm and tranquil.. I can't wait to come and sit in the pews when there is a concert there...do pay a visit here if you are near Auburn.Written January 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Donald KEdmonton, Canada1,212 contributionsGee, I am uncomfortable giving a cemetery anything but top reviews. It was nice to drive around the paths. Almost no one else around on a Sunday morning.Written July 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- PopeyeDRockaway Park, NY413 contributionsWe visited CJS Vineyards while vacationing nearby on Owasco Lake in August. We called first to confirm the hours and Chris let us know that he was open and also told us where to park since he had construction work taking place on the driveway.
We did a tasting and ended up buying a case of wine.
Chris was the perfect host.
Highly recommend this small family run winery if in the area.Written September 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ClawbootRochester, NY299 contributionsA very interesting historic home and fascinating exhibits. Currently on display (mostly on forms) are historic wedding dresses and other fashions. Other parts of the house have exhibits on early medical instruments, the Auburn prison history, an ingenious clock and time-stamp machine made by one of the original founders of IBM, and information about the house, how various rooms were used, and the families who lived there. Also a part of the Museum is the Case Research Laboratory where sound was first applied to film to make "the talkies." Unfortunately, we didn't have time to get to the laboratory before closing. Auburn has a number of such historic places including the Seward Mansion and the Harriet Tubman House to name just a couple.Written May 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dese2Auburn, NY2,687 contributionsHaving this park and baseball in Auburn is important. This is a real family friendly space that is affordable.
The Doubledays is a collegiate summer baseball team. "Abner" is the team mascot as is "Falcon". Kid and adults can get a photo with the mascots, for free!
The park offers reserved seating (plastic) closer to the field and bleachers under cover of not. Some of the bleacher banks have backs. All bleachers are aluminum.
There are concession stands with the typical ballpark foods and beer.
Lots of between inning activities for young and old and of course, music.
Take in a game if you are in town or come to town for one.
Tickets can be purchased ahead online or at the gate. Free parking is across from the park.Written August 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
