Started by my Grandmother Grace Lambe, and named in honour of my Great-Grandmother Mabel Lambe. Our main store located in Meaford Ontario, is open all year long from 8am to 6pm every day. We also have a seasonal location, Grandma Lambe's II located on Highway 6&10 between Chatsworth and Owen Sound. Opening Mother's Day Weekend and closing November 1st (depending on the weather). Our orchards G.H. Lambe and Son are run by Grandma Lambe's son and grandson, Dave and Blake Lambe. Our apples are award winning. Many place 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at the Canadian Royal Winter Fair, in Toronto. We have three kitchens where we make our pies from scratch at our Meaford store. Apple, Strawberry Rhubarb, Cherry, Raisin, Peach, Blueberry, Rhubarb and Raspberry just to name a few. All our recipes have been passed down through the generations. Using local fruits, berries and of course apples. We've posted a few photo's of the products we carry. But it's truly something you'll have to come see for yourself. :) Looking forward to seeing you and keep your eyes open for Grandma Lambe (she's usually in the kitchen). « less

Later it was turned into the Public Utilities Offices and finally, in 1961 after a sizable donation of historical memorabilia was received by the town, the building was turned into the Meaford Museum. Since that time several renovations, additions and improvements have been made creating the new Meaford Museum as an interactive and exciting hub of local history. You will frequently find school or senior groups, individuals and families learning about the history of the former Town of Meaford and Townships of Sydenham and St. Vincent. The Meaford Museum is an important stop on the Apple Pie Trail, featuring information about the local apple growing history. Also for 2014, there is an exhibit about local inventor and hero Andrew Gawley, the Man with Iron Hands. Learn more about Meaford's internationally renowned story of Beautiful Joe and the area which inspired John Muir to create the Sierra Club. Meaford has a robust and unique history that transcends its borders and delights all those who visit to learn about it. « less
