Pagudpud Attractions: What to do & Places to Visit in Pagudpud
"I stayed in Pagudpud for three nights and two nights in Vigan as well as two nights in Laoag City. The aim was to try all the different type of accommodations in the northern part of Luzon island in Ilocos Sur and Norte from hotels, pensions or pousadas, and homestays. In Vigan, I stayed with my two..." dogs in Hotel de Salcedo which was excellent along with Felicidad Hotel but the latter won't take dogs. In Laoag, I would recommend Balai de Blas, and in the Blue Lagoon area of Pagudpud, I would categorically recommend Alliyah's Transient House over Hannah's Resort and Kapuluan Vista Resort.
Alliyah's Homestay is run by single mom, Marilou Acido, her daughter Alliyah, and her mother. Its run by three generation of women of very humble background but the owner worked as an OFW in South Korea as a factory and with her hard earned savings of $10,000 put up a two room bed and breakfast in the land owned by her mother which is part of a bigger 2 acre parcel bought by her great grandparents b...

"On the way to the falls there are tourist guide wearing green tshirts that will take you there. They charge P100 for a group of 4-5 people. You need around 25-30 minutes of trekking time to reach the area, not really advisable for elder people and small kids. You should wear comfortable footwear a..."nd clothes that you can use as a swimwear as well if you decided to take a dip. There are limited toilets and changing room around the place and it was really dirty. I was actually expecting to see a big stream of water to swim too but was surprise that it was rather small. We went there during the weekend and the place is full packed and very crowded. Still worth a trip especially if your a nature lover.

"after a 20 min walk, we expected a tiny pool with stringy falls but these falls were decent. it was a little crowded but in general, most other people around did not jump into the refreshingly cool water (cooler than the water at the beach). so we had the falls to ourselves."
