We rescue, rehabilitate and release injured and orphaned arboreal wildlife through our Step Down Release Program back into our protected Sanctuary grounds and surrounding jungle. Howler monkeys are our specialty. Our habitats are 70ft. X 75ft. X 3 stories tall and enclose trees for a more natural environment. The Open Canopy habitat is approximately 1/3 acre. Our newly completed volunteer casita can accommodate up to 4 volunteers to live "on site". We offer limited educational visits by reservation only. Please inquire at the Nosara Wildlife Sanctuary at SIBU web site for more information. Thank you so very much for taking your time to inquire. Steve & Vicki « less

Everyday I can see turtles, monkeys, whales and all kind of animals. I live naked most of time and that's how I paint too. At sunset time I go to the beach where I play, swim and surf. Being surrounded by nature I can feel a total isolation from the rest of the world and see nothing but a pristine tropical forest from my house. I also have the chance to travel all over the World with my parents. Nosara is a mixte of all kind of people, just in my Montessori school we have 20 different nationalities. I am fluent in three languages and we practice art and yoga on a regular basis. Some of the villagers (and my nanny Yerlin) have a strong resemblance to the indigenous, they were never slave and you can sense and enjoy that in the present. We never had war and we don't have an army so we are peaceful people. My imagination is build on all those images, sensations and concepts. My experience in Nosara is the key of my work and my sense of the World. « less
