The Padelletti family is one of the oldest familes in Montalcino and carries a tradition of wine culture across 25 generations since the 16th century. Our cellar is situated under a 15th century building in the very centre, along the historical walls of Montalcino. It is a small cellar which has remained unchanged throughout the centuries and is packed full of history. The wine making processes continue to follow the traditional methods used to make Brunello di Montalcino, a great wine internationally renowned. It is possible to arrange guided tours of the cellar and wine tastings (in Italian, French and fluent English) any day of the week between 10:00 and 19:00. It would be however better to make an appointment in advance.

"On our visit to Italy in 2011 we traveled to Siena and Tuscany where we toured several vineyards in Montalcino. By far our favorite experience of the whole trip was visiting il Cocco Vineyard and meeting the owner Giacomo. His tour of the vineyard and the entire wine making process was very informat..."ive but more importantly his hospitality was fantastic. The food pairing of delicious Italian meats and cheeses matched the various wines we tasted and was perfect. After visiting several vineyards here in the U.S., nothing compares to the experience we had at il Cocco and meeting Giacomo.
His Brunello di Montalcino was the best wine we tasted on the tour. During our visit we ordered a case and had it shipped to us in the U.S. and to this day we still place orders with Giacomo. We have introduced some wine connoisseurs to the Brunello from il Cocco and they absolutely love it.
I would highly recommend visiting il Cocco and Giacomo if visiting the area.

"Went to Montalcino today to taste the famous Brunello. We chose to visit Poggio Rubino to taste their Brunello. We had a fantastic tour and tasting led by Tony Freveletti, who gave us great insight into the philosophy and the making and aging of Edward Corsi's Poggio Rubino fine Brunello. We followe..."d the tasting with a fantastic lunch served in their newly renovated terrace restaurant that overlooks the hills of Tuscany. A great experience that I highly recommend to other wine lovers.

"My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of visiting this winery in 2012 and it was stunning. The staff was great, the property just gorgeous and most importantly; the wine spectacular!"
