Modica Attractions: What to do & Places to Visit in Modica
"since modica is completely constructed after the 1693 earthquake, it is a city with charming consistency and style. the small alleys provide charming walks, and the terrain sweeping panoramas. the ancient history of the city is not lost, the neolithic caverns that are the foundation of most houses ..."can still be found. the tradition of chocolate making in modica is probably one of the most endearing. since the time of spanish rule, they have developed a way of making chocolate without butter and cooked at lower temperature that has to be tasted to be believed...beautiful city and a perfect place to return to after day trips of exploration around the region.

"A very old town, steeped in history into the 250 BC to present. The construction is in competition with another town in Sicily, Noto known for Baroque perspectives. A must see."
"Keep in mind that in Modica, there are hundreds of churches and the top one is St. Giorgio, and running a close second is St. Pietro. Both a must visit."
