"The Zillertal has it all and with around 85% of its slopes serviced with artificial snow making guarantees good skiing conditions until the end of the season. We were impressed with both the standard of the gondolas and lifts and maintainence of the skiing surface. The 'Superskipass' offers access t..."o 671 kms of piste and 174 lifts! The whole area is also well serviced by a Ski-bus which we rarely had to wait more than ten minutes for.
Top Tip: A great day out is the 'XXL-Runde, Zillertal Total'. Starting from the top of the Penken gondola station you ski most of the Zillertal valley taking in four mountains and three valley decents. It also includes the infamous 'Harakiri', Austria's steepest black which is not for the faint hearted!

"Spring in Zillertal Arena was this year awesome. no people, sunshine and fresh powder snow - Arena is a little bit higher then Penken and north oriented, so snow is here every year usually better late spring. And less people, because from Zell are no blue slopes, just beautiful red ones. But reds ar..."e good enough yet for children from six, seven - perfect surface, wide...
New photo points and funny slalom route are very good idea - you can simply find your photos and videos on web.

"We are beginners when it comes to skiing. We rented our equipment at Ski Centrum Hubert Kröll, just next to the skilift of the Zillertal Arena, the name of the lift is Karspitzbahn I. A very big compliment to Mr Kröll for his excellent service!!
We took lessons at Pro Zell ski school. Not cheap but..." very professional. Mr Kröll arranged it for us without any commissions.
Track 11 and 12 are for beginners. We also went to Gerlossplatte, Plattenalm but there the slopes were too steap! So we went back.
