It was built from 1746 to 1749, on foundations of an old chapel. Above the portal is a beautiful baroque rosette. The baroque altar was dedicated to St. Cross. On the altars of the Heart of Jesus and the Holy Family are two altarpieces from mid-19th century. The bell tower has been built for full twenty years, since 1752, by Vicko Macanovic, a builder from Dubrovnik. The bell tower has a closed stem and two naves. « less

It is assumed that originally there was only one church, but due to the increased number of monks the other almost identical building was added soon after. In the vicinity of the basilica two Illyric graves were found. « less

Residents of Pisca built a church in 1298 and consecrated it to St. Elias the Prophet in 1493. The little church is surrounded by a wall. There was probably a cemetery next to it. Today, mass is held here once a year, on August 20. « less
