Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center & Botanical Garden

Discover the desert at the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center and Botanical Gardens. Highlights of the Nature Center include a botanical garden featuring plants native to the Chihuahuan Desert region and a greenhouse containing over 200 species of cacti. Hiking trails guide visitors into a canyon with a spring and pool and up to the highest point on the property to enjoy spectacular views of the Davis Mountains. Interpretive exhibits include the Chihuahuan Desert Mining Heritage Exhibit, a geologic timeline, and an exhibit about the geology of the Davis Mountains. The Visitors' Center features rotating exhibits and the Leapin' Lizards Nature Shop. The Nature Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 to 5.
