  "Visiting Harpers Ferry was pretty cool. The little town there is definitely different. Some of the buildings are so old. It was awesome to walk around, read the historical markers, and then grab a beer in town before heading back. As others have mentioned, the parking was atrocious. Using the..." shuttle definitely is the way to go. On the day that I visited, there were lots of field trip kids, some better behaved than others. :o) It seemed as though the were not as many kids running around one the bridge or on the other side of the bridge. It was peaceful and beautiful on the other side of the bridge, near the old canal. There was an interesting museum in town as well as several restaurants and bars. A nice place to grab some lunch or a beer! While some of the town would have been wheelchair accessible, overall, because of the steepness of the hills and the amount of stairs, I imagine it would be pretty difficult if you had a wheelchair.
