  "This is among the largest beach parks on the windward side of Oahu and among the most popular. Off street parking is ample and dogs on leashes are permitted. The are at least two restroom facilities but no indoor showers for campers. Most campgrounds on Oahu do not have warm showers but they do ..."at least have showers which are semi private. This park is also one of the many that has gates which are generally locked at night which mean you either stay in or stay out. Gates will often be locked at early as 6:30 and nearly always shortly after dark. There a very large expanse of grassy recreation area between the park and the beach which provides a place for picnics, camping, volley ball etc. Camping needs to be arranged online about a week ahead of time as I have not found any type of campground host, ranger or onsite office to pay for or to enforce camping rules.
