"A full day activity. The road is narrow in places and has lots of turns and is on the side of a cliff with beautiful views of the ocean. There is a CD widely available which takes you through the whole route but it is out of date. It tells you there is no place to eat or get gas. There are plenty of..." places to eat that have popped up in the last few years and there is a gas station in Hana.

"Upon arriving at the front door of this outdoor cat sanctuary, you will be greeted at the door by several adorable cats. These are some of the friendliest cats you will ever meet and they love to be petted! My husband and I took the ferry over from Maui and from there, a shuttle took us to Lanai c..."ity. Kathy will meet you there and drive you the short distance to the rescue center. This is such a unique animal shelter where the cats roam free and they have many areas to nap, play and even climb trees! Kathy is a wonderful person and very welcoming. Its amazing how she knows the names of all the cats and how they were rescued. Thank you Kathy for all you do for the kitties! We had a great time and definitely want to come back and visit again.

Upon arrival my husband and I were immediately greeted at the entry gate by a throng of healthy and playful kitties! Kathy stayed with us the entire time--about two hours, showing us the facility, introducing us to all of the kitties (everyone has a name tag, is microchipped, and spayed or neutered), and sharing many kitty stories. We were very impressed with the various "transition" areas set aside for kittens and new additions who need some TLC before being introduced to the colony. The sanctuary currently houses about 360 cats, and everyone has plenty of room to roam, climb ladders up into trees, nest in straw laden wooden cubicles, hide up high on rafters while keeping ...
