  "We had a day to kill in Seattle so we rented a car for some wine tasting. Columbia Winery was our last stop and we were very thankful we didn't skip it! We had tasted Columbia wines before, but the selection in southern California is not great and we wanted to taste their smaller production wines...." First impression: wide open. Unlike many other tasting rooms in the area, you don't run an obstacle course around all the random gifts they are trying to sell you. Just a very warm and comfortable atmosphere. Beyond that, we were super-impressed by the staff! Jill assisted us and impressed us with her knowledge of the wines and also recognized that we were not from the area and gave us some great ideas for out-of-the-way Seattle hot spots.
