"This is a wonderfu place, with well-tended gardens, friendly people, and lots of information about lavender, herbs, and the neighborhood. Most of the items in the shop are locally made (I bought a lavender pillow that turned out to be a creation of the cashier's grandmother), excellent quality, tho..."ugh somewhat pricy compared to mass-produced items. We were looking for a good place to have lunch and the staff came up with several excellent suggestions. Above all, the lavender plantings--indeed, all the plantings--look well-cared for and happy.

"After three days of hiking, we took a day off and visited this farm with very little expectations. It was very pleasant. It is a wonderfully kept farm property and the kids enjoyed feeding the animals. The rabbits were their favorite. For 12 dollars for a family of 5, this was 90 minutes well sp..."ent. I have two daughters (9 and 12) who loved it. My six year old son also had a blast. I don't think I'd be in a hurry to take him there if he was much older than 8 though.
We dropped $80 in the gift shop without even blinking, but. This is to be elected for homemade/handmade goods infused with the farm's lavender.

"This is a great museum. It's small, but filled with lovely quilts from Virginian quilters. It's the official quilt museum of the Commonwealth. The staff is friendly and they are mostly all volunteers. The museum is open from February - December and it is open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm."
