What is Floating?Floating, floatation, float therapy...whatever you choose to call it, it is quite simply the most incredible means of stress relief and relaxation available. The tank contains 10 inches of super-saturated salt solution, creating an environment similar to the Dead Sea which enables the individual to float effortlessly on the surface. The water is heated to skin temperature (93.5 degrees) so that once settled, it is virtually impossible to distinguish between parts of the body that are in contact with the water, and those that aren't, in effect "fooling" the brain into believing that the person is floating in mid-air.

In addition, there is an educational facility offering classes, lectures, and demonstrations throughout the year.

"This is one of our favorite "hidden" treasures. There is a great trail around the lake that is perfect for walking or running. And then afterwards you can let the kiddos play on the playground. We love this park!"
"My family and I walk the 1.5 miles around the lake whenever we can. A number of fishing piers dot the edge, though I have never tried the fishing. There are also quite a few benches, which I have occasionally used for reading. The trail is wide, and shaded by thick woods. The only negative thing I h..."ave to say is that it does get crowded occasionally.

"I go here multiple times a week. The staff grooms the approximately 3 miles of trails on a regular basis. I forget I am in the middle of the city when I run. Can't say enough good things about the park."
