What travelers are saying
- c0verdaleRiverview, Canada1,135 contributionsStopped in on our way through Vermont and very much enjoyed our visit.
They have a visitors' center with parking and several options for hiking.
Just walking across the bridge offers up great views.
Unfortunately we did not have the time to take a hike down but will be the next time we're in the area.Written December 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is small, but there was a programme of talks and even a walk throughout the day, and so we ended up staying there for about 5 hours. The staff were friendly and knew a lot about the birds in their care. The new songbird enclosure was great to walk through/stand in. Good range of rescued raptors. Nice giftshop. The only downside was no cafe or hot drink availability.Written December 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - agnitfom2000Glastonbury, CT270 contributionsI visited mostly to check out the location. They have a large amount of pretty glassware but it is definitely not cheap. It was worth looking at. It’s worthwhile to see the glass blowing works. Also visit the exterior and take a look at the hydroelectric system. The restaurant overhangs the water and the food looks good but you must have a reservation, even for lunch. I did look for a kayak landing upstream of the dam but couldn’t find any place safe.Written January 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kim S3 contributionsThis place had just what we were looking for in souvenirs from our trip. Maple syrup, stuffed moose, candies, etc. There was llama merchandise, a flea market, and a cafe. We stopped on our way to the Queechee gorge. The entire area is beautiful. People are friendly.Written October 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JCayeBristol, RI51 contributionsWe had a great time stopping at this distillery! The woman who worked there was super friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to explain each drink. We were able to taste four different drinks and learn about each one. A lot of fun facts around the store and a good selection of locally made spirits.Written September 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - greeneyes630Maugansville, MD687 contributionsNice tasting area on the 2nd floor. You can purchase flights in sets of 3, individual shots or by the bottle. Whistle Pig also makes their own mixer, that I found to be delicious. It was fun to try the more expensive bottles without the high price tag. FYI the 12 year was our favorite.Written July 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MemiranChicago, IL57 contributionsWe loved this place! Had only one hour, but it was not enough to truly enjoy it. This store sells a wide range of goods, very reasonable prices!Written July 29, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Helene L7 contributionsWe had a great experience renting from Wilderness Trails--a reasonable price for a decent timeframe meant we could enjoy our paddle and not worry about rushing. Easy and accommodating. Recommended!Written August 28, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- James SHouston, TX16 contributionsWe happened upon Quechee Ski Hill, not realizing the town had any ski runs at all. Teachers were sympathetic and got my 4-year old up and running quickly, to the point she was enjoying it. I also had a go at cross country skiing and had a great time making a fool of myself! Don’t have unrealistic expectations (it ain’t Killington) and you will really like it.Written July 9, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tedkirbyLexington, MA600 contributionsThe Alpaca farm and store are in this shopping area with several fun stores. I bought some nice warm socks from the alpaca store. The alpacas are out behind the store. They are super cute. You can feed them and pet them. There is also information there about the alpacas.Written October 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
