An old traditional, family friendly farm open to the public, with lots of farm animals to meet, pets corner, tractor rides, pony rides and lessons, soft play barn, two play areas and a giant bouncing pillow. The great barn cafe sells freshly ground coffee, teas and a small selection of gifts, the restaurant is also open from 12pm till 3pm daily serving delicious meals.

"Very interesting house and gardens
The house, remodeled by Charles Barry, contains many fine pieces of furniture and painting by famous artists. Be sure to read the room notes and speak to the room guides as they can really brink the history to life and explain the significance of the most importan..."t items.
Don't miss the Egyptian room on the way out as it contains a fascinating array of artifacts, there's also an ancient obelisk in the garden brought all the way from an island in the Nile, it took 7 years.
The gardens are lovely with different areas featuring at different times of the year and pleasant walking trails around the grounds
Take a picnic as there are tables in a large grassy area by the carpark.
Being National Trust it comes with all the usual facilities and very helpful staff

"Visited here on a Monday and house visiting was restricted to a guided tour of the ground floor only, but it was well worth it. Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative without becoming boring. Found the architecture, artwork and furniture and fittings absolutely fascinating. Will definitely..." return in the near future to visit the upstairs rooms to see what they are like. It was a bit early in the year to see the gardens at their best but they were still lovely to wander around, especially as the azaleas and rhododendrons were in full flower. Would thoroughly recommend visiting here, worth paying for if you're not an NT member.
