Nice beach, lots of space to sit. Clean beach , no rocks . Vendors on site. Was there with my kids and the ask to return which is a good sign.

Quick and painless trip. Lots of paid parking lots nearby. Easy on/off. I didn’t take my car but saw plenty of people backing their cars in which seemed like a challenge. Even saw a pod of dolphins on our way back.

Great beach for the first few days. Then it was closed due to high bacteria levels. It smelled like raw sewerage for the rest of my vacation. I ended up going to Roger Wheeler. Water was cleaner , smaller waves more small children.

Nice beach for families with smaller children because of smaller waves. Can get very crowded on warm days but they work hard to keep the beach clean. Nice walking down the beach as well.

It is beautiful but no beach access and no access to the light. It’s controlled by the Coast Guard so the best you can do is get pictures in the background. The park is beautiful

Wonderful property. Original buildings made me feel like I was walking through history. We watched the iron worker heat and work some metal while giving us some history. The fellow in the print shop and the one in the wood working shop were also very friendly and informative. I would have liked to walk around more, learn more about the original owners, but the day was a bit too warm.

The free parking lot is not too large but probably can hold 50 cars ~ there is a staircase that leads to a small hilltop that over looks the ocean/ lighthouse/ memorial of those who have lost their lives at sea and small beach that is located here.

From this park you can spend the day of the cute small beach, picnic or fish from the inlet.

Also known as The William O'Neill Bike Path My wife and I bike quite extensively and we found this trail to be a pleasure to ride. I requested from the RI tourist association a map of biking trails in there state. Since we were staying in Newport this was an ideal trail to do on a gorgeous sunny day.. I am a member of trails.com so I was able to view it before we went, We started at the Kingston Train Station and went a far as the road to the beach. We were planning on going to Narragansett Beach with the car so we ended are trip early. The last stretch was on a busy road so we decided to return to the train station. The trail is tared and has excellent signage to let you know where you are. There are very nice restrooms in the historic Wakefield area right on the trail . You can stop and enjoy the towns along the trail which have restaurants and shops. There are quite a few parking areas along the trail but we found the train station very accommodating. Take a ride it is well worth it.

The waves are gentle. The beach is beautiful and not overcrowded. The bathrooms are clean. Oddly they do not have garbage cans.

Overall nice campground and great sunsets. New restrooms and kept up most of the time. However, once the staff goes back to school or college, the cleaning seems to be sporadic. 75 cents for a three minute shower is a bit challenging, especially when its takes about a minute to get the water heated up. Each shower only has one hook to hang all your stuff on with nothing to sit on. Be careful in section two, most of the sites are on amazing hills and trying to get level can be interesting.
