Take the 4-mile Drive-Through Safari and come face to face with some of the fastest, tallest and cutest animals around. Stick your tongue out at the majestic giraffes... Feed the cheeky ankole cattle... See the stunning Sumatran tigers... And whistle at a pack of dhole. Have a wander around the Discovery Trail visiting Mark O'Shea's Reptile World, Twilight Cave, Creepy Crawlies, SeaQuarium, Sea lion Theatre and Penguin Cove with its underwater viewing area. Don't miss our small exotic animals in our hands-on animal encounter, the sea lion show, the reptile talks or the penguin feeds. Amble around the African Village. See the cheeky meerkats and pet the African sheep and goats. Keep an eye out for our playful ring-tailed lemurs, small white-fronted brown lemurs, and fluffy red-bellied lemurs in Lemur Woods, the largest walk-through lemur wood in the UK. « less

The shop filled with foods from the past, all created from the original recipes, allowing you to taste the past at home. Try an 18th century style hot chocolate, spiced with cardamon and long pepper, or go further back in time to try an Elizabethan stew with spices from the newly discovered spice islands. The merchant is often there in full Georgian costume, and will demonstrate and explain the foods and spices, as well as show how many of the dishes were prepared in the past. If you ask nicely he will often have something for you to try as well! You can also buy historic recipe books and cards, or try out some of the games that have played over the last few hundreds of years. « less
