The National Watch and Clock Museum was officially opened to the public in 1977 with fewer than 1,000 items. Since that time, the collection has increased to over 12,000 items and the museum has undergone several expansion projects. The latest expansion opened in October 1999 and featured an entirely new and redesigned exhibit space, as well as a new two-story addition. Today, the museum is recognized as the largest and most comprehensive horological collection in North America. The National Watch & Clock Museum is conveniently located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, less than two hours from Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, and Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre.

"We really enjoyed our time in Burning Bridges! It is an old 3 story building that is chock-full of great old stuff! The building is clean and well organized with very helpful staff. One of the ladies hit all 3 floors for me looking for a certain item I wanted..she was terrific! There is ample free p..."arking near the building. There are old steps to be navigated to see all 3 floors, so beware buyers with bad knees! We spend many weekends at various auctions in the area, so to us, the prices are a bit high because we see where they likley get all this stuff from. It is a very pleasant place to wander around for a few hours. Chances are you'll fall in love with some little knick knack that you don't need but will buy anyway!

"I love going there! The people are so friendly and the self guided tour is amazing! It's very kid oriented but I'm 21 and I have fun there! I know older adults that love it too! Tea taste testing and ice cream taste testing!!!! Love it! It's very reasonably priced for the fun and knowledge you get o..."ut of it! They also have fake cows to milk!!!! It's so fun! I'd go there everyday if I could!
