A. J. Knott owned land in the area of the street and park that now bear his name. In the 1880s and 1890s, Knott operated the Stark St. Ferry, which connected Portland and East Portland for many years. Includes soccer and softball fields, volleyball court, horseshoe pit, playground, picnic tables, parking lot, restrooms, and paths.
