"This was our second trip, the first was 3 years ago in September and my wife and I, hiked it by ourselves (everyone else was fishing) and just loved the whole trip. This spring's trip we had 7 other hikers, and this really made it fun. Something happens when you go off into nature for 4 days. I gues..."s we just forget about the rest of the world and focus on where we are and with who we're with and this happened and was just so enjoyable and fun. We'll probably do this hike every couple of years. If you get a bit tired you just hop onto one of the guides rafts and enjoy the river. My wife did this a couple of times. The guides are great, the lodges are an experience and serve great dinners and breakfasts. It's pampered hiking and frankly it's the only way that my wife and I can hike for 4 days from point to point that I know of and sleep in a bed each night. She's not into backpacking. I highly recommend this trip for the above reasons and for the natural beauty that you're surrounded wit...

"The people of this company are what makes it the best and The owner Brad has found TALENT!
I had never been on a supported hike before so didn't know what to expect. For 44 miles through the Rogue Wilderness Trail a person can either have a great hiking experience or rafting trip. The river raft ..."meets the trail hikers every couple of miles carrying ALL supplies, a person only needs their water bottle. Everyone hikes at their own desired pace but the buddy system encouraged.
We were the only group on the trail that had radios to be able to talk with the lead hiker, the sweeper and the water raft. No worries at all. The trip lead was very accommodating and I was able to hike not only the whole trail but white water raft the best parts. So I opted to make a 44 mile hike into 50 miles which also included a trip to Deek's Peak near Paradise Lodge.
Having wine on the trip was an added bonus and worth every penny of the small surcharge. The wine guide Liz is wonderful and knowledgeable...

"I just got back from the "Wiking" trip AKA wine hiking all along the 40 mile Rogue River Trail on the Wild & Scenic Rogue River. Not only am I feeling in shape from the hike, I am even a few pounds heavier. Strange huh? Well, it is because they serve you great meals along the way and even snacks bet..."ween your three meals. You stay in 3 different lodges and enjoy the great outdoors and the wilderness but at the same time get treated like royalty. Does it get any better than that? Well YES because you get local award winning wines and a whole lot of them, new ones every night and day (if you prefer to taste during your lunch break). For those who want to sit and enjoy some time on the river for a different change of pace and scenery they can ride the raft with the awesome guides. This way, you have a better chance of seeing wildlife and can give your legs a rest. On top of that, you can get some good whitewater rafting in too! This tip could have not been better, seriously. Rogue Wilderne...
