Foxlowe Arts centre opened its doors in Leek as Leek’s Art Centre for the people of Leek and the Staffordshire Moorlands in December 2011. In a short time Foxlowe Arts centre has rapidly developed a reputation as the place to go in Leek.The Foxlowe Arts Centre has a very popular café and gallery, with a live music venue and cinema / lecture room.The Foxlowe Cafe is open seven days a week 10am – 4pm with a choice of hot and cold drinks and meals. The café is vegetarian and vegan friendly. The Gallery is open Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 4pm & Sunday 11am – 4pm

Steam train gives a 3 mile return trip along the side of Historic Rudyard Lake. This is the best way to see the beautiful lake and get to its attractions. The lake is where poet Rudyard Kipling's parents met at a picnic and named their child after the spot. Its an unspoilt place great for a family day out or picnic
