The Barrels Ale House is a CAMRA award winning real ale and live music pub tucked away on the corner of Bridge St and Bridge End close to the tweed bridge.We pride ourselves on offering a warm welcome to locals and visitors alike. Check out or website and facebook page for up to date information about entertainment bookings in our cellar bar venue and about the most recent guest ales available. We have beer from all over the UK but some of our favourites are Stewarts, Fyne Ales, Wylam, Tempest, Hadrian & Border, Highland Brewing, Houston......We welcome all feedback and look forward to welcoming you to our unique little pub.

Conundrum Farm is a tenanted 800 acre farm situated right on the border of Scotland. We are the most northerly farm in England! Conundrum produces both crop and livestock products, as well as uncultivated areas to encourage and benefit wildlife. There is much to do and see at Conundrum, including the Farm Trail, Battle Trail, Restaurant and Fun Barn. The Farm Trail is a self guided walk around the farm premises, where children and adults alike have the opportunity to interact with our friendly, and often very greedy, livestock animals. Currently we have ewes and lambs, goats, a pig and piglets, horses, a donkey and miniature pony and cattle on show, as well as trout in our trout pond. The Fun Barn is our indoor play area associated with the Farm Trail, housing various guinea pigs and rabbits, as well as pedal tractors, a sand pit with diggers, a small bouncy castle and a colouring area to keep the kiddies amused.Conundrum's award winning restaurant uses mostly locally sourced produce, including our own Aberdeen Angus beef and pork grown on the farm. There are daily specials cooked fresh, as well as our home baked cakes, scones and tray bakes if you just fancy a treat.
