The layers of nature visible in all directions will surely spark your curiosity. You will want to go farther just see what else is just over that next hill or around the next bend in the river.

This theatre is a "gem in the woods." We saw The Sound of Music in July of 2022. Great acting and singing. The leads were especially excellant actors and singers. The kids voices really impressed us ! Small town friendly, with large town quality. All the seats are good ones. The sound quality was excellent as well. The amphi theatre has a cover on it and side walls that can be let down, in case of rain. We went on a hot evening, but a nice breeze and the use of overhead fans made it very comfortable. The seats are comfortable as well, with plenty of leg room. Hats off to the small town folks who make this theatre work, I know it takes a lot of them! We wil be making it a yearly tradition.

It is a very quick stop but worth going to if it isn't too far out of your way. The building is really cool although we didn't get to go in.

We spent two nights during Labor Day Weekend camping at the Riverside Park and Campground in Walhalla. The campground was small, but it was very well looked after and laid out well. We appreciated the large camping spaces. We called the posted number to purchase wood to be dropped off for our campfire. The firewood guy backed his pickup right into our site and helped us unload the wood near our fire pit. We got a nice amount of firewood for $20. We encountered one problem... the first morning I tried to use the bathroom, some nincompoop plugged the toilets in the men’s room so that they were not useable. It looked as if it was done on purpose. Ugh! We contacted management and this problem was taken care of quickly. There is plenty of excellent playground equipment for kids to enjoy, and there is also a swimming pool in the park. The Walhalla area is pretty beautiful. We enjoyed the day hikes we took around the area, especially to the Pembina Gorge. We were totally satisfied with our time camping here. We look forward to camping here again in the future.

We were in Walhalla camping over Labor Day weekend. We decided to go to St. Boniface Catholic Church for Mass on Saturday evening. This church was not far from the city campground which made it very convenient for us. This is an old church, but it has been kept up very well. After Mass, my wife and I stayed a bit longer to appreciate the stained glass windows and get better aquatinted with the layout of the church. We are so glad that we did. Beautiful! JMJ+

Frostfire Mountain has brought me here over the years to snow ski, watch summer theater, hike, and mountain biking. I'm pretty sure that this area is one of the best kept secrets in the state. Even though this is a small ski hill, it has what you need to get out and and appreciate nature. Since making mountain bike trails, an entire other dimension has been added to this location. It was too muddy to ride the trails when we were here. It must have had a pretty good rain a day or two before we arrived. We initially came to the Pembina Gorge to hike and appreciate the fall colors. We are already looking to our next time in the Pembina Gorge to take in what Frostfire has to offer. Thank You!
