The runs are not super-long so you do alot of getting in and out of the chopper. I felt reasonably safe since the helicopter is always there in case of a rescue. We didn't ski any double black diamond but did ski almost all virgin powder runs. Occaisionally wasn't enough room for fresh tracks on each pitch so some sharing was required.   "Middle of nowhere yet in the lap of luxury"
  "Just returned from a New Year's trip to TLH/Tyax. Everything about the trip was amazing. From the minute we were in luxury. The lodge is beautiful and as combined rustic lodge with convenience. We were warmly greeted at the door by the staff and GM Josh and taken to our gorgeous room with views ..."of Tyaughton Lake. The food was to die for and every person who worked there put in 110%. While my partner was heli-skiing I was able to borrow snowshoes and have a relaxing day in the spa and reading in front of the fire. The skiers were back by 4pm so we could enjoy an apres together to hear all the stories. New Year's eve was a tame evening, but we still popped a bottle of champagne off the deck, reveled in the starry sky, and rang in the new year with new friends. Not only an excellent place for adventurers but also a great place to relax.
