The guides explained everything in great detail from the dangers to the history of the river. We were also told that the Cheoah was not for the weak as much as you needed your guide they also needed you to paddle like a champ! We accepted the challenge and enjoyed a day of crazy drops, huge wave trains, and very technical maneuvering thru what is essentially mangroves!   "My husband and I took the Great Smokey Mountain ride and lunch in April 2013. It was very relaxing and the meal was very good. We both had the beef. We rode in the dining car for the whole trip.
