"This is on my you must do activities list. What a fantastic way to discover the Valley of Franschhoek and its many wine estates offerings. The itenerary was well chosen and you get to sample many differrent palates and flavors of wine and Chamapagnes (Well sparkling wines - you are not allowed to ca..."ll them Champagnes anymore - courtesy of Viva la France apparently) and visit 7 Wine Estates in the region. The Tour Consists of a tram Style open Bus (a bit noisy - you cant really hear the narration going on the speaker) and a diesel powered Rail Based Tram and quirky estate based methods of transportation - Tractors and V8 Powered Dodge truck - circa 1956 or so). The Tour offers about 3 complimentary wine tastings and the other ones unfortunately you have to pay but the prices are on the low side averaging R40 (U$4) per person for about 6 wines. The guides are well versed on their knowledge and the estates offer gift shops where you can buy the sampled goodies and other quirky stuff. The ...
