  "We stayed at this state park the first week of october and were concerned because we had reserved a non-electric site on what was to be a very cold day. We kept our fingers crossed hoping there would be an electric site left for us to move to. Luckily we got there and there were 2 sites left...so ..."we made it thru a very chili and windy nite. The site wasn't very close to others so you felt you had some privacy. The park is great! Scenery is just amazing...lake superior looks more like an ocean than a lake. The trails are awesome and the park is very clean. The shower and toilet area is very well kept and clean. they do have vault toilets also. I would recommend this park. We feel in love with the beauty of it and cleanliness. Would go back in a heart beat. You won't be disappointed. The staff is very friendly and patient. Our dogs enjoyed it also. " More >

  "worthy of pictures, easily seen from car but you can also get out. Easy parking and easy on/off of hwy 61."

  "The lake, the river, the gorge all good"
  "Temperance River is one of my favorite spots on the North shore. The campgrounds are great. The trails are fun both up the gorge and down along the river toward the mouth of it. The beach is very nice and will be different every time you visit."
