"The Old State Capitol was listed is the U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1971 and rightly so. It's a beautiful building without windows in the front. You can almost invision orator Henry Clay giving a famouse speech here. Vieiwing the old furniture of the House & Senate was interesting."
"We did two tours here on a Thursday morning, the regular tour at 9am and the hard hat tour at 10:30. Both tour guides were very knowledgable, friendly and had plenty of energy to motivate the groups in the morning! The grounds are just beautiful and worth the drive that's a little bit out of the w..."ay. I highly recommend taking the time to go up there and book the hard hat tour if you can! It definitely fills up way in advance.
The only thing that wasn't amazing here was the food from the deli they have on location. The guy working there was awesome and very helpful, but the premade salad was a bit eh and half the chicken I got to put on it was moldy! If you go, get the pulled pork. It's fresh.
