Physical activity allows children to learn how their bodies work by using them and Hopscotch’s Playplace allows that opportunity like no one in South Central Kentucky. Our facility is packed with equipment and toys that encourages climbing, tumbling, balancing, rolling and jumping just to name a few. We encourage educational activity with a reading and music area, along with a magnet wall full of letters and numbers. Hopscotch’s is a shoe-free facility. Socks are required.

Enjoy spectacular views from the cupola while seeing how the Hobson family lived at Bowling Green’s historic house museum, Riverview at Hobson Grove. Built by Atwood and Juliet VanMeter Hobson on a hill overlooking the Barren River, this historic landmark has been restored to its original splendor and is listed on the National Register. An official site on the Civil War Discovery Trail, the house was used for storage of Confederate munitions when the Rebel forces held Bowling Green. Riverview is an elegant interpretation of a prosperous Victorian home of the 1860 to 1890 period and invites visitors to experience the life of a 19th century family and their servants.

"Basil Griffin is a nice park with playground equipment, disc golf, ball diamonds, roller hockey, historic planes & a small lake that can be fished by boat (no gas engines allowed. There is a paved ramp.) It is best fished by kayak, but plenty of shoreline & can be reached without a wilderness hike...." Your chances are best at catching catfish, but there is bass, carp, trout & bluegill for sure. A fishing license is required, & DNR does patrol it & will check for it.
It's a great & well maintained park that is tremendously convenient.

"We've been here many times for not only Hot Rods baseball, but also Western Kentucky University has played a few games here when they know the turnout is going to be large. The park is really clean and it still has such new amenities (only 5 years old) There is a cool sports bar within the stadium w..."ith a garage door that is a clever idea. The Hot Rod theme is carried through with the "grease monkey" for a mascot. The tickets are very reasonable and you can park for free a block and a half away on the street if you're lucky. There's a new building "BG Municipal Utility" and it's just to the left of the front of that. The times we've gone, there really wasn't a packed house so we moved to where the sun wasn't in our eyes. It looked like a fun place for a kids' birthday party too.

"This is a nation of car lovers and this is an ode to our own home grown classic. A great overview of our country and society as well as the development of the car itself, from it's creation to the present. A lot of fun for us 'Boomers'."
