It's a pleasant stroll around the grounds, and as a photography buff I like to catch an animal when it's active and take as many interesting shots as I can. Along with the zoo is an amazing museum that is included in the price of admission. It should not be missed, even if time is short and you have to dash through it. There is an art gallery in the museum with changing exhibits, and a terrific, hands-on play room for children. The Taste of Adventure event is wonderful, where they offer the food of a specific region and have a speaker come in and talk about the region.   "We were keeping two of our grandsons (4 and 6) in Salina, Kansas while their dad and mom, our son and daughter-in-law were taking care of some business. We had one day to do something with them, and that day turned out to be overcast, cold (40 degrees), and a little drizzly every now and then. We ..."have planned to take them to Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure when we thought the weather, in April, would be a little warmer. Because the site has a large indoor museum as well as a zoo, we decided to go ahead with our visit. We are all glad we did so. Though, most of the time, we were the only visitors there, we were treated fantastic. The museum is first class, and we were able to really take our time and enjoy it.
