We cover all native species rescues from mile marker 0-15 in the Florida Keys. Our mission is "Ensuring the future of our diverse native wildlife through timely rescues and quality rehabilitation with the hope of release back to the wild." Our main focus is avian species but we do partner with other organizations to rescue Sea Turtles, Marine Mammals and other native wildlife in distress. Visitors to our center and enjoy a nature trail through the Sonny McCoy Indigenous Park. This park is very important for migrating birds and is a popular spot among birders. We have a small number of permanent resident avian education ambassadors that can be seen but most of our space is dedicated to rehabilitating sick and injured birds. The rehabilitating birds are not on display to the public in accordance with our state and federal permits. We are open 365 days a year and there is never any admission fee to our facility. We do accept donations to keep our rescue and rehabilitation services going. « less

Famed for a population of creative runaways, pirates and brilliant groups of laughing people gathered to celebrate screaming orange sunsets. Legendary in behavior and design; the Key West lifestyle has long been centered around beauty, nature, and freedom. A sophisticated celebration of color, these patterns that represent decades of international residents and influence form a clean design that is joyful and cool-- that is the Key West Aesthetic. Since 2010, Key West Pottery has been a dynamic creative space at the gateway of our historic and beloved Old Town Key West. Specializing in the making and curating of functional pottery and ceramic fine art, Key West Pottery is the Island's specialty gallery in the diverse field of ceramic art. Our gallery appeals to the contemporary, chic, and timelessly colorful aesthetic of South Florida with artworks that range from tea bowls to large scale public installations. We travel and explore the creative world and the connection between lifestyle and art to bring a connective fine art presence to our gallery and its visitors.
