"Beautiful park and the fort (though not significant in history) is neat to explore. Don't forget to visit the pier and beaches.
Only thing missing on our visit was a map of any trails. We received nothing when we entered the park and when we asked the staff at the fort's store if there was a map of ..."trails she said no? That would have been helpful. But we still enjoyed the park a lot.

"We did the 2-hour Cumberland Island Tour and it was a highlight of our visit to Amelia Island. The views were beautiful. Saw wild horses and lots of dolphins up close. The narrated history of the islands and the wildlife was excellent."
"We have camped here twice and loved it both times. There is a beach side and a river side. We recommend the river side for camping. Fabulous new bathrooms and shower and laundry facilities. Also, be sure to visit the fort, so interesting. Great for biking, hiking and shelling by the pier."
