What is spectacular about the ..."estate are the gardens. They rival any of the gardens that one might see in Europe and they are in my own backyard. Spring is definitely the time to come, with so many things in bloom. However, they offer a jazz series in the summer as well as many other special events. For those of you who are local, and have never gone to Filoli, I highly recommend a drive to the Peninsula for a great afternoon.
