Landmark Vineyards was founded in 1974 in Windsor, CA and in 1989 relocated to Kenwood, CA on a spectacular piece of land at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain in the heart of Sonoma Valley. Landmark specializes in premium Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Rhône wines such as Syrah and Grenache from the best vineyards in Sonoma County and California. Our Steel Plow Estate wines use organic farming practices and are pesticide free. The tasting room menu is always changing and we offer winery tours by appointment only. Most Saturdays we feature complimentary horse drawn vineyard tours so bring a picnic and enjoy the beautiful gardens or a game of bocce.

The Reserve Room is a revolutionary concept in a number of ways. In the first place, it's probably the first wine tasting room you've ever been in with chairs, tables and napkins. But more important, the RESERVE ROOM takes you on the ultimate wine country tasting journey unlike anything you've experienced in a wine tasting room before. Each guest takes a seat in our comfortable and intimate room where you can enjoy wine-inspired art, a little music and views of the hillside vineyards of Kenwood located just out our window. You are then treated to a seven-course pairing menu that includes seven Mayo Family Reserve wines crafted by Winemaker Michel Berthoud and seven tasting dishes created and prepared by Chef Max Porter-Elliott to compliment the seven wines. The Mayo Family RESERVE ROOM is our opportunity to take you further into the wine and food experience that defines Wine Country.

"Wonderful wine tasting and great person hosting us (Kevin). The Malbec was a favorite and the Merlots, as always. The building is just beautiful and a must see if you are wine tasting in Sonoma"
"We discovered VJB almost literally in our own backyard (Santa Rosa) in the village of Kenwood after seeing an article in the Press Democrat about the recently renovated venue. VJB is a wonderful place to crash on a sunny, lazy afternoon, starting with friendly wine tasting, and then proceed to the d..."eli to order panninis, salads, or Italian-style pizzas from their wood-fired oven adjacent to the outdoor plaza, the "Piazza Grande." We love to find a table in the sunny plaza and enjoy our deli fare with a bottle of the excellent VJB wines. Have an authentic gelato if you feel like having dessert, and the deli and gift shop are handy for taking purchases home with you. Honestly, in the confines of the plaza with it's high walls, you'll feel as if you had been transported to Italy, rather than only 10 miles southeast of Santa Rosa! This is a great place for locals to bring out-of-town guests in addition to other wine-tasting venues in the Sonoma Valley and the Valley of the Moon. The only c...

"You can't go wrong in wine country nowadays for only $5 for five tastings (refundable if you purchase 3 bottles of wine), especially if the wines are as world-class as Kenwood. We enjoy their "restaurant" Yulupa labels, especially the chardonnay, but be sure to taste the Reserve Chardonnay (Russian ..."River Valley) if you are a chardonnay fan! All the varietals are great, but be sure to try the reserve and Jack London labels. They are the best. The staff are friendly and informative, and it is fun to pick up a few gifts in the shop for purchase during your visit. The tasting room and gift shop are in a historic rustic barn, and the grounds are beautiful, with picnic tables nestled under the shade of tall redwood trees adjacent to the vineyards.
