Fort Ross Vineyard is the closest vineyard to the Pacific Ocean in California. This is the first and only vineyard tasting room along the majestic Sonoma Coast in the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA. From the Tasting Room there are panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean framed by tall Redwood forests and golden meadows.

"My wife and I drove up the Pacific Coast Highway for its great views and to visit Fort Ross. The fort is well worth the drive and the time. The location of the fort is beautiful. It is right on the Pacific coast. There are many walking trails around the fort and to the coastline. The fort is in very..." good shape. (Some of it is original and some areas have been restored) We toured several of the buildings and were impressed with the condition of the fort including the gun placements in the corners of the fort. We did a self guided tour since the park rangers were busy with a Middle School group who was visiting the fort. We learned a lot about California history there and about the influence of the Russians in the area. This was well worth the drive for the history and the scenery.
