We all did the zip line (the kids wit..."h guides) We all rode horses, did the mud bath (I missed the old gentleman who used to paint us with mud!), and the hot tubs. And the 3 and ups all did the crazy waterslide through the jungle! What a fun way to have a taste of all these experiences! I would say it was awesome for everyone! The only caveat would be that this month was the end of the dry season and we didn't have the show of birds and wildlife we would have at another time of year. (no fault to BV!)   "I booked an excursion for 6 people with Vargas Tours (great company) and they brought us to Vandara Hot Springs & Adventure for the day. We were greeted by friendly staff and fresh juice. We took a short horseback ride to the canopies and had a blast doing all the zip lines. The highlight of the day..." was the delicious organic lunch that was included in the cost of the day tour with Vargas Tours. Everything was fresh and grown locally at Vandara. It was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. We followed lunch with the water slide (would not recommend this part- it was a bit dangerous and not worth it) and a mud bath and a dip in the hot springs. When we got out of the hot springs we were treated to refreshing melon slices. I have done a similar excursion at a different location that was not nearly as good.   "We went with a group of friends, 25-30 years old, for this all-day experience and had a blast! We started off with the zip-lining tour which includes repelling down a ravine as well as rock climbing back up the other side and a tarzan swing later on in the zip-line tour. The guides were very profess..."ional and helpful and we felt safe the entire time. The next portion included a horseback tour up the mountain to a waterfall where we were able to jump off the edges of the rocks into the waterfall. Amazing. Cold. The guides were happy to take pictures along the way and were great with the horses as some of our members were very nervous riding. Then we were able to stop for lunch which was a great little buffet with many options for hot and cold foods, salad, and fruit. Perfect after all that physical activity. Our final activity was to visit the hot springs and mud bath. This was my first visit to a hot spring....turns out, they're hot...who knew?? But super cool experience. My bigges... " More >
