"A nice tour. Want to sleep in the cave? You can for $700. Lots of up and down in the cave. Smooth walkway but not a good idea for littles or oldsters. Up and down in an elevator but a fairly rigorous walk when 200 ft below ground. Ladders and ropes to get in were the old way. Ironically , shortly ..."after the elevator was put in, US66 was bypassed by I 40. It is a long way off of 40 and the signs are not grand, hence, easy to miss. Buildings are starting to wear. and its is a long way from anything. If you are exploring, take the tour.

"What a blast! Don't get me wrong, it's rough! LOL! But that's the fun of it! At one point, I was only holding on with one hand! But the skill of the guide, steered the boat and scooped me up! LOL! SO MUCH FUN! The first half is the rapids and then it's smooth sailing. The waterfall is AMAZING and AW..."E inspiring. The guides are knowledgable and fun! Really SWEET GUYS! I cannot reccommend this enough! GO! DO IT! FUN!!!!!!!!!!

"It's not located close to anything, but if you get a chance to take this tour, you won't easily forget it! An elevator takes you from the gift shop down to 220 feet below the surface. These massive caverns get their name because an experiment with smoke bombs determined that they are interconnected ..."to the Grand Canyon, some 70 miles away. Entrance fee is $16.95 per person, and there are small discounts offered to AARP and AAA members.
A guide takes you and your group around pathways throughout the cavern, points out areas of interest, and tells relevant stories. There is a mummified bobcat, a replica of an ancient giant sloth, snowball formations in the rock, and other things to see during the tour, plus information about how the caverns were discovered and how they became commercialized.
